Christmas time is here...

Dec. 25th, 2009 | 11:25 pm

On the last day of Christmas my true love gave to me...100 cookie cutters, a kitchen aide ice cream maker, and a recipe book written by Ben & Jerry!

I seriously tried to give it back. I mean, most girlfriends only get one or two big presents for Christmas but my man went beyond the status quo.

I'm so lucky. And its not because he bought me presents (If I were that materialistic, I wouldn't have stuck by him for 2 years when he was unemployed). I'm lucky to have such a warm, understanding, loyal, unselfish, handsome, compassionate boyfriend like Wyatt. I am SO thankful for him.

And I'm thankful for my family. Even though we're going through a tough time, my parents still managed to give us such a great Christmas. They work so hard, trying to make me and my siblings feel better about this move. Everyone misses our Corona house...but we'll manage. Its not like we're living in a box or anything. Thank you, Mommy and Daddy.

And thank you to all my friends. Especially the ones who stayed close to me throughout the years and supported me through my bumps in the road of Life. I love you all!!

Merry Christmas and much love!

PS Alton Brown's cookbook, ipod speakers/dock, jewlery organizers, cupcake cookbook, makeup, & Bejeweled 2. That's what I got from my family, just in case you were wondering :)

Wyatt bought me SIX presents this year. I was allowed to open 3 for now. Wanna know what they are? wanna wanna wanna? Okay, if you insist!!

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me...Uncharted 2 for PS3!
On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me...a 32 GB iTouch and the new Weezer CD

:) :) :)

I would say I'm not spoiled, but that would be a lie. Wyatt does indeed spoil the hell out of me. But it only happens on my birthday, our anniversary, and on Christmas so technically, I'm not a spoiled brat. I'm just dog-gone spoiled.

PS Yes, I did do a dance after opening every present. I dance when I'm nervous, I dance when I'm happy, and I dance when I'm thrilled. It's like I'm letting the butterflies escape from my tummy!

PPS I did not ask him to buy me presents. I only asked for one thing: a Dwight K Schrute bobble head...the same thing I asked for last year.

PPPS I need to buy him more presents! I can't let him out do me!!! And I love him. So he needs more presents.

I would never ever procreate with Wyatt. Is that bad to say? I mean his genes are insanely bad. Not physical genes...just health genes.

His mom has cancer, his dad has heart disease...my mom had cancer, my dad has high cholesterol...

Basically, our kids would be doomed. Which is why we won't have kids. Problem solved.

Meh. The world doesn't need anymore people anyway.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies!

Dec. 6th, 2009 | 10:20 pm

It's a Sunday. I have an Quantitative Chemical Analysis exam on Wednesday so I've been studying since the morning. Stressed Stressed Stressed!! What's a girl to do? Cookie therapy.

But wait! There's no time to whip up my infamous Snickerdoodles or irresistible Cinnamon Peanut Butter Surprise. So I bust out an old recipe that always comes in handy when I have no time for fancy pants cookies.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Yeah. You read right. FLOURLESS.

How is that possible, you ask? Well, I can't tell you HOW but I can tell you that this recipe makes a yummy, peanut-buttery, crumbly cookie that will definitely hold you me up until that dreaded exam has passed. It's amazingly simple and definitely worth a shot.

So what are you doing?! Stop debating whether you should try this out because you should. You really should.

Peanut butter cookies...with just four ingredients!
  • 1 cup peanut butter (I used smooth)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 oz. milk or semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • Mix peanut butter, sugar and egg until well blended.
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Roll into quarter sized balls (makes about 16)
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  • Flatten each ball by using a fork to make a criss-cross pattern.
  • Bake 16-18 minutes or until slightly browned.
  • Cool for 5 minutes on cookie sheet and then cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Meanwhile, melt the chocolate. Be sure not to burn it!
  • Dip cookie edge 1/2 inch in and roll to cover the perimeter.
  • Place on wax paper covered cookie sheet and refrigerate until chocolate hardens
You can also mix some chocolate chips in the dough if you think a little bite of chocolate on the edge won't cut it. Enjoy!

I'm leaving for Vegas tomorrow and although I'm super stoked to go, I'm also getting a little homesick...and I haven't even left my house!

Okay maybe not HOMEsick, but definitely BOYFRIENDsick. Wow, that doesn't sound right. Bascially, I'm going to miss Wyatt so SO much on this trip. I've never been on a friend-vacation without him!

Don't get my wrong, I'm not one of those girl that cries if her boyfriend isn't attached to her hip, but I'm definitely going to miss that booger.

Anywho, I'm leaving in 12 hours and I'm still not packed. I'll probably wake up early, get ready, and throw everything in a bag...which will most likely multiply to 2...or 3...plus shoes.

I should really invent something that shrinks the mass of clothes 'til you're ready to wear it then BAM it goes back to normal size. Packing would be so much easier that way! I can probably pack a weekend's worth of clothes inside a matchbox cept I don't know if they still make matchboxes because I haven't seen one in years. Plus, knowing me, I would probably lose my clothes if they WERE in a matchbox which means I would be stranded with the clothes I came to Vegas with for 3 whole days and 2 whole nights and then no one would want to be around me because by day 1, my clothes would be saturated with 2nd hand smoke!

Hm. Maybe I'll just stick to packing old school.

Settling. Again.

Sep. 7th, 2009 | 10:08 pm

So I bought myself a pink rose ring today. It's not exactly what I was looking for. It doesn't fit too well, the design is pretty cheap, and it's definitely not the color I want...but it'll do until I find the perfect one.

I'm going to raid one last store tomorrow and pray it's there. Wish me luck!

Birthday/Christmas wish list

Sep. 7th, 2009 | 01:29 am

just in case anyone was thinking about buying me a present for my 21st birthday ;)

1) The Office Season 5 on blu ray

2) Wilton Dessert Decorator (can be found in amazon.com or bed bath and beyond)

3) Gift cards to H&M, Nordstrom, Ulta, or Urban Outfitters. Actually, money inside a lovely card with a handwritten message would be better. Or maybe just a card with a handwritten message. I'm serious. Money inside cards remind me of old people.

4) Martha Stewart's Cupcake or Cookie book (target, amazon, costco)

5) Cute, bold colored cupcake liners

6) Cupcake carrier (everyone wins with this one)

7) Pinocchio on Bluray

8) a yellow rose ring similar to this

The chunkier, the better

9) An iphone. Hahaha juuust kidding.

10) A case for my Holga, Fisheye, or popart camera. :( I really need one.

11) A wide brown leather watch band. I can't find any cute ones online...
